The Georgian House Hotel is a pretty hotel run by the same family since 1851, but with modern day comforts. Comfortable rooms, good food and helpful service in the heart of London, ideal for enjoying city life. Object id #131 The Georgian House is in a great location to explore the city. It is an easy walk from Buckingham Palace, the King's Road and the Houses of Parliament, and close to Victoria Station with connections for all London and the UK. The hotel was built in quiet, elegant Pimlico by the family in 1851, and is a beautiful reminder of days gone by. Many of the rooms still have their original fireplaces, ornate ceiling mouldings, shutters, French windows and balconies. Despite our respect for the past, we place heavy emphasis on modern standards. Charming rooms have private shower rooms, phone, TV, tea and coffee tray and safe. The hotel is still family run and has a wonderful warm atmosphere. Moderate prices include a delicious English breakfast cooked to order from top quality ingredients including eggs from the family farm and Musks sausages, favoured by the Queen Mother. Guest security is top priority and both buildings have new fire alarms and escape routes. Local Attractions : •  Buckingham Palace (2 Miles) - Essence of London Heritage, Buckingham Palace is now open to the public during July and August. It is an experience to see the famous Changing of the Guard, that still takes place all year round. •  Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament (4 Miles) - Westminster Abbey is where the kings and queens of England are crowned. It is an ancient and exquisite building in it's own right. Opposite is the Houses of Parliament, where you can go to watch the members debate the issue of the day. •  Oxford Street (4 Miles) - Oxford Street is well known for the wonderful shopping. It is home to some of London's most famous shops, including Marks and Spencer with it's huge underwear department. •  The London Eye (5 Miles) - The London Eye was created to celebrate the millenium. It gives visitors the chance to see the whole city spread out before them. It is amazing how very different things look from a bird's eye view, as the great ferris wheel slowly rotates.
