High Beeches is a few minutes' walk from Wansdyke and the ancient village of Southstoke. Both university campuses are close by. Enjoy views of Horsecombe Vale in the Midford Valley, and out towards Midford Castle. Each well-equipped room has an en suite shower and free Wi-Fi access. By Car: - Go down Midford Road (B3110), passing the Cross Keys pub on your left. - After about 200 meters, take the 1st right turning up a bumpy track called CRANLEIGH. - Drive nearly to the top and turn left by a five-bar wooden gate. - High Beeches is 90 metres down the small lane on the left, with a light green garage door. - This will bring you in to the back of the house. Walk through back gate and ring the bell on the back of the conservatory door. Local Attractions : •  Roman Baths & Pump Room (1.95 Miles) - The remains of the Roman baths and temple give a vivid impression of life nearly 2000 years ago. Built next to Britain's only hot spring, the baths served the sick, and the pilgrims visiting the adjacent Temple of Sulis Minerva. Above the Temple Courtyard •  Sally Lunn's Refreshment House & Museum (1.92 Miles) - This Tudor building is Bath's oldest house and was a popular 17th-century meeting place. The traditional 'Sally Lunn' is similar to a brioche, and it is popularly believed to carry the name of its first maker who came to Bath in 1680.
