Hallingbury is an old converted flour mill on the banks of the River Stort only 16 mins drive from stansted airport. We are a warm friendly country guest house with much to do in an informal environment just 8km from Stansted Airport.

There has been a mill at Hallingbury from the 1600s the present building was built in 1874. We serve good fresh food and have an excellent wine cellar there are many event thorough out the year ie River regatta murder mystery weekend and Burns suppers to name but a few. Please be aware the site is non smoking


By Car:
- From the M11 junction 8, take the A120 to Bishops Stortford.
- At the 1st roundabout turn left and head straight on at the mini roundabout.
- At the Hockerill traffic lights, turn left.
- At the next mini roundabout, go straight ahead and follow the A1060 to Hatfield Heath.
- Follow this road for 4 miles into Little Hallingbury.
- Shortly after passing the George pub, turn right for Gaston Green.
- Follow the road until you reach the duck pond.
- Turn right into a small lane marked no through road/Tedingbury lock.
- Hallingbury Mill is at the bottom of the hill.

Transfers to or from the airport can be arranged on request prior to arrival.

•  Stansted Airport (10 Miles) - Hallingbury is excellent possition to take advantage Stansted airport. For inbound out departing travellers
•  Mountfitchet Castle (11 Miles) - Stansted is not only known for it's airport, it also has its own castle and toy museum which is very popular with both children and adults. The castle sits on a hill overlooking the village and has a friendly menagerie that just love to be fed!
•  Audley End House (16 Miles) - Audley End is the local stately mansion and owned by English Heritage. Visitors can look around the house. It's grounds are host to many events such as craft fairs, country displays, and summer concerts. It also has a delightful narrow gauge railway
•  Imperial War Museum Duxford (20 Miles) - Duxford is famous for it's War Museum and aircraft displays. Give yourself plenty of time to truly appreciate this attraction.
