Pearse House is an attractive Victorian mansion set in its own grounds, dating from middle of the last century.

Pearse House is an attractive and imposing Victorian mansion set in its own grounds some thirty miles north-east of central London and easily accessible via the m25/m11. The present building dates from the middle of the last century and its mock Elizabethan facade protects many fine examples of English craftsmanship, amongst them some excellent examples of brass, plasterwork and stained glass.
Pearse House hotel is 3-star hotel with excellent facilities and ample free car parking. The hotel is a non-smoking establishment.
Pearse House is only minutes away from Stansted Airport, the m11 and from Bishop's Stortford train station.
From the M11 North
Exit at J8 and head up the slip road to the roundabout and take the 5th exit - immediately following services - signposted A120/Bishops Stortford. At the next roundabout, which comes up within 200 metres, take the first exit left (signposted A120/Bishop's Stortford). At the next mini roundabout, 800 metres, turn right into Parsonage Lane and Pearse House is the first entrance on the left, directly opposite Birchwood School.
From the M11

At the next mini roundabout, 800 metres, turn right into Parsonage Lane and Pearse House is the first entrance on the left, directly opposite Birchwood School. We are on the London Liverpool Street - Cambridge Line.

• Hatfield House (24 Miles) - Hatfield House, the Hertfordshire home of the 7th Marquess of Salisbury. Hatfield House, built between 1607 and 1611 by Robert Cecil, lst Earl of Salisbury and Chief Minister to James I, has been in the Cecil family ever since.
