Cherry Garth is a non-smoking house situated in Ambleside at the Heart of the English Lake District. We are less than five minutes walk from both the centre of Ambleside and Lake Windermere.

Guests benefit from a sunny south westerly aspect with wonderful views over the surrounding Lakeland fells. We have 12 en-suite bedrooms including four-poster, deluxe and family sized rooms. The landscaped garden features level lawns, attractive sitting areas, an ornamental pond and a wide variety of mature flowering shrubs and bushes.

Windermere is our nearest local railway station. The nearest mainline station is Oxenholme Lake District. Outside Windermere station is a taxi rank or, alternatively, a regular Stagecoach bus service (No.s 555 and 556) operates.

•  Windermere Lake Cruises - Steamers sail daily throughout the year along 11 miles of stunning scenery. Connections also for the aquarium and steam train at Lakeside. Evening Jazz Cruises available during Summer/Autumn.
•  World Of Beatrix Potter (10 Miles) - Larger than life characters and displays from the famous books. Also nearby is Hill Top Farm where Beatrix lived and wrote many of her books.
•  South Lakes Wild Animal Park (50 Miles) - An amazing experience as you see wild Lemurs, Kangaroos and much more running wild around your feet! Also there are hippos, giraffes, lions and tigers. Europes Top Conservation Park. Well recommended for both adults and children.
•  Levens Hall (50 Miles) - Visit the world famous topiary gardens of this stunning Elizabethan stately home. Used for filming locations of many TV period dramas. Also nearby are other stately houses such as Sizergh Castle, Leighton Hall, Muncaster Castle and Furness Abbey.
