The Abbeydale Hotel is a good base from which to explore the Peak District or business appointments in the North Midlands and South Yorkshire. The Hotel is located just behind the Football Club. Coming into Chesterfield on the A617 from the M1 you come to an island at the end of the duel carrageway. Go straight across the island to the next island and turn left down Markham Road (A619). This takes you through a set of traffic lights to another island (B&Q on the island).Take the next road after B&Q that you can turn off the roundabout onto and go up the hill to the traffic lights at the top of the hill. Straight across (West Street) and to the next junction where you turn right into Cross Street and the hotel is on the left.
