Beech Hill Hotel is 2 miles east of Derry city. On the main A6 route to Belfast and Dublin, close to the airport and train station, the Beech Hill Hotel is ideally placed for easy access to all visitors.
By Car (from the A6):
- Along the main A6 Londonderry to Belfast road take the turn off at Faughan Bridge (Beech Hill sign at the bottom of the hill).
- Travel a mile further to Ardmore Chapel.
- You will see the hotel entrance on your left, opposite the chapel.
Local Attractions :
• City Walls (3 Miles) - Londonderry is the only city in the British Isles to have walls surrounding it. They are the most extensive early 17th century remains and one of the largest solitary monuments in the British Isles. Strategically placed plaques reveal their history.
• The Orchard Gallery (4 Miles) - Founded in 1978, it is Derry's prime venue for contemporary visual art. The gallery fosters and displays the work of a wide range of contemporary local, Irish, and international artists.
• Tower Museum (4 Miles) - This award-winning museum presents the history of the city. A series of exhibits and audiovisual presentations provoke the imaginations along the way. The collections of historical artifacts includes items salvaged from the Spanish Armada.
• The Craft Village (6 Miles) - This enchanting village is frozen in time right in the city centre. The village depicts Derry life from the 16th to 19th century and provides a unique setting for the combination of retail, workshop and residential units.
