By car (westbound):
- Exit the M4 motorway at junction 41 onto the A48.

•  Margam Park (5 Miles) - A magnificent 850 acre Country Park only a few minutes from Aberavon Beach. An excellent day out with a wide variety of attractions to suit everybody including children.
•  Afan Valley (8 Miles) - An area of steep pine clad valley sides, rushing streams and marvellous views. At the heart is the Afan Argoed Country Park with signposted walks, a cycle track with cycles for hire and the Welsh Miners Museum depicting life in the South Wales coalfields.
•  National Botanic Garden of Wales (32 Miles) - A millenium project set in 568 acres of 18th century parklands with some spectacular and innovative horticultural and conservation features. Including the worlds largest bioverse single-span greenhouse.
•  Gower Peninsula (32 Miles) - This popular and spectacularly rugged little peninsular is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are two castles, King Arthur's stone and quaint pubs and villages.
