OVERVIEW

The Boat Hotel at Boat of Garten is a privately-owned Victorian sporting hotel set in the heart of the Spey Valley. Personally run, warm hospitality and confortable rooms assure you of a relaxing stay.

The other is a lively public bar which, with its log fire, and occasional live music is a great favourite with the locals.
The hotel has a new fully-equipped function / conference room with facilities to seat up to 60 theatre style and 25 boardroom style layout.

Heading for Perth: From London area the Western side of England. Take the M6 past Carlisle to A74 (continuation of M6) A74 towards Glasgow (becomes M74), M74 (heading towards Stirling), M73 via Kirkintilloch to A80 past Cumbernauld to M80 (Stirling), M80 towards Stirling (becomes M9), M9 towards Perth (becomes A9).

From Edinburgh take the M90 north to Perth. From Perth A9 north towards Inverness. Turn off at turning after Aviemore. At end of slip road turn left (North) on A95, signposted Elgin.
Look for signs to Boat of Garten. After 2 miles A95 turns right (Sign to Boat of Garten 8 miles). Follow signs to Boat of Garten.


Local Attractions :
•  Boat of Garten Golf Club - Designed by one of the grand-masters of golf course architecture - James Braid, 'The Boat' is not only a demanding test of sporting skill but also a magnificent setting for the game.
•  Strathspey Steam Railway - Take a journey back in time through beautiful Strathspey and experience the magic of steam. Situated next to the Boat Hotel take a trip on the steam train to Aviemore.
•  Auchgourish Gardens (4 Miles) - Scotland's newest Botanic Garden and Arboretum opened this year. Extensive collections of certain specialised groups of plants have been established including Alders, Birches, species Cherries and Apples, Honeysuckles and many more.
•  RSPB Ospreys (5 Miles) - Loch Garten is famous for the ospreys which can be seen from the osprey centre in summer. As well as an excellent view of the nest, live video pictures are relayed back to the centre, where staff are on hand to explain what is happening.
