• National Exhibition Centre (NEC) (1 Mile) - This is one of the leading conference and exhibition centres in the country. Hosting a variety of events ranging from government conferences to Star Trek conventions, plus some of the country's most spectacular live music performances.
• Museum of Science and Industry (9 Miles) - This museum depicts and explains the booming years of Birmingham during the industrial revolution. It also pays tribute to the many great minds that have used the city as their base, such as James Watts, Matthew Boulton and many of their contemporaries.
• Birmingham City Museum and Art Gallery (10 Miles) - The museum covers fine and applied arts. Collections include important exhibitions of work from the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. Watercolours and Arts and Crafts galleries with museum collections of archaeology, ethnography, natural history and science.
• The Barber Institute of Fine Arts (11 Miles) - One of the best collections of 20th century art in Britain was bequeathed to Birmingham University by Lady Barber.
