Come up the A9 from Inverness, following the signs for Thurso.As you approach Thurso you see the Rugby Field on your left and then a set of traffic lights. At these lights turn Right marked Castletown, John O Groats. Follow the road for 10km until you come to Castletown and you will find Hotel in the Centre on the right 100m past the Church.
Local Attractions :
• Dunnet Head (10 Miles) - UK most northernly point on the mainland, and an area of interest to all nature lovers, rare birds, seals, and many other types of wildlife.
• Castle of Mey (15 Miles) - The Queen Mothers former Scottish Home now used on occasions by Prince Charles.
• Highland Games (15 Miles) - Various highland Games over the summer, Mey Games should be 6th of August.
• Orkney Islands (20 Miles) - One day Orkney Island Tours are available from Jog Ferries at John O Groats and can be arranged in the hotel.
