The Belfry Country Hotel is a wonderful place to unwind and relax. The Grade II listed building is a former village school situated in picturesque Yarcombe. The resident owners, and their cat, extend a genuinely warm welcome creating an atmosphere of friendliness and peaceful relaxation. Guests are welcome to browse the owners' collection of books and music to enjoy in the lounge or with each room's CD player. Surrounded by rolling countryside with stunning views of the Yarty valley, The Belfry is ideally located to explore the magnificent countryside of England's south-west from the Jurassic World Heritage Coastline to the wide open spaces of Dartmoor and Exmoor.

From the a303 Westbound - opposite the junction with the b3170 (right to Taunton) turn left signposted (not always visible). Yarcombe 1 mile, there is a small service station after this junction on the right. This is a single-track road, follow the road to the T-junction and turn left into Yarcombe. The Belfry Country Hotel is immediately on your right hand side, opposite the church and pub. From the A30 Eastbound - 5 miles past Honiton, after Monkton, where the road becomes the A303, turn RIGHT at the junction signposted A30 to Chard and Crewkerne. After 2 miles you will enter Yarcombe. From the M5 Southbound - Leave the motorway at Junction 25 and follow the A358 South, towards Chard and Ilminster. After 10 miles join the A303 Westbound, towards Honiton and follow directions above for A303 Westbound. From the M5 Northbound - Leave the motorway at Junction 29 and take the A30 Eastbound towards Honiton and follow the directions above for A30 Eastbound. By Rail - Honiton is the nearest mainline station and it is on the London Waterloo to Penzance line. The journey from London Waterloo is approximately 2 hours.

Local Attractions :
•  Blackdown Hills - Yarcombe is in the centre of the Blackdown Hills and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by great walking country. It is a picturesque Devon farming hamlet, has a 13th century church, village inn, the hotel and pretty cottages.
•  Sidmouth (30 Miles) - Sidmouth, a famous Victorian watering town which seems not to have changed for 150 years. famous for its floral displays, and its Observatory built on Sidmouth Hill because the air is reputed to be the purest in the country.
•  Lyme Regis (32 Miles) - Lyme Regis is an historic unspoiled seaside resort and fishing port on the world famous Cobb harbour. Surrounded by beautiful coastlines and countryside, the area has now been awarded World Heritage Site Status; famous for its geology and fossil finds.

•  Exeter (40 Miles) - There is much to see in Exeter, the cathedral with its unique towers, Cathedral Close, Rougemont Gardens, Exeter Castle and City Wall, the Medieval Exe Bridge, the Guildhall and The House That Moved. Quay House Visitor Centre, is the best place start.
