The Mardale Guest House is a fine example of a Victorian Terraced Villa which retains much of it's original charm and features. Hartington Place is a quiet residential cul-de-sac in the Bruntsfield area, south west of Edinburgh City centre. On-street parking available in Hartington Place and other parallel streets. Frequent buses run from Bruntsfield Place/Gilmore Place to Princes Street, or a leisurely walk will take approx. 20 mins. Whether your visit to Edinburgh is business or recreation, the Mardale is ideally located for; Universities, E.I.C.C., Theatres, The Castle and City centre sightseeing. Or as a base for taking one of the many tours to other Scottish places of interest. Some rooms may differ from those shown in photographs. Because of the age of the building all rooms are a different size and no two are the same, all have their own character.

From Waverley Station; from bus stop near Scott Monument in Princess Street bus no.10 To Gilmore Place/Viewforth-Hartington Place 2nd on right of Viewforth. Or bus no'S.11,15,16,17 To Bruntsfield Place/Viewforth- Hartington Place 3rd. On left of Viewforth. Or Taxi direct. By Road from City by-pass (A720) Take A702 towards City centre, from Bruntsfield Place (A702) turn left into Viewforth-Hartington Place 2nd. on left. From Airport; Airport bus to City centre, then Taxi or bus as from Waverley Station.
