The Melvich Hotel is situated on Scotland's Northern Seaboard. Home of mainland Britain's most Northerly micro-brewery.

A comfortable but informal Country Hotel with a Cliff Top position, overlooking Melvich Bay to the Island of Hoy and the Orkney mainland beyond. The lounge bar with its peat fire has wonderful views over the bay to Orkney. There is also a games room with a Pool Table adjacent to the Public Bar where you can experience true Highland Spirits!! The large garden allows guests to take in the breathtaking sights and sound of the surf from the bay.
From the South, Melvich is best approached by the a9 from Inverness to Helmsdale and then by the a897 direct to Melvich.
Local Attractions :
• Melvich Beach (1 Mile) - Melvich's stretch of golden sand has been classed as 'one of the world's best' by The Independent newspaper.
• RSPB Forsinard (30 Miles) - The Reserve is situated in the spectacular flo country and is the home to a variety of wildlife including Golden Eagle and Osprey.
• Castle of Mey (40 Miles) - Former home of the late Queen Mother Elizabeth. Open to the public Tuesday to Sunday in the high season.
• John O Groats (50 Miles) - Scotland's most northerly point. Visitor centre and day trips to Orkney in the summer.
