The 300 year old George Hotel provides comfortable accommodation for visitors to the historic town of Battle. Visit the place where English history changed forever. Walk over the battlefield where William the Conqueror stood. The George Hotel was established in 1699, but there has been an inn on the site for over 600 years. Previously the town hall of Battle, the George building was once a military court during the Napoleonic wars. All of our rooms are en-suite, with television and tea making facilities. Full English breakfast is served freshly cooked between 7:00 and 9:00am. Continental breakfast can also be served in your room by prior arrangement. The hotel is popular with wedding parties and tours, being within 5 minutes walk of picturesque Battle Abbey.
