Extensively refurbished in 2007 / 2008, our charming and elegant residence offers comfort, relaxation and good service within a detached Victorian villa, in a peaceful area near the English Riviera Conference and Leisure Centre. Object id #105 For your total relaxation, we have an open-air garden hot-tub spa, set in an illuminated sun deck with oak furniture and sun beds, screened with illuminated Torbay Palms. On a warm day or evening, you can relax on the south-facing patio, sundeck and terrace, accessed from the newly refurbished and elegant lounge. Recognised by the Best Bed and Breakfast Guide, the Villa presents itself as the ideal base for your stays in Torquay. Please note: we cannot accommodate under 18s, group bookings, stag or hen parties, honeymoon couples or wedding groups. Whether you are visiting Torquay for a holiday or on business, you can be assured of a very warm welcome at the Southbourne Villa, where we pride ourselves on excellent levels of hospitality and service. The Southbourne Villa, originally a gracious 19th century detached Victorian Villa, has all modern comforts including full gas central heating and double glazing and is your ideal choice for both business and pleasure. From the M5: - Take the A380 and follow signs for Torquay. - Join the A3022 (Newton Road) and continue until you reach Torre Station and Halfords. - At these lights, turn right onto Avenue Road. - Take the 4th left into Vine Road and turn right at the top into Cleveland Road. The Southbourne Villa is approximately 300 yards on your left. Look out for our large blue oval signs. Ample private parking is provided within the grounds of the villa, including a designated disabled parking bay. Local Attractions : •  Coastal Walks (1 Mile) - Explore miles and miles along a network of coastal footpaths allowing visitors to admire the stunning views of the coastline and beyond including Thatcher Rock. •  Cockington (1 Mile) - This beautiful thatched village and country park has ornamental gardens and lakes, a manor house, old forge, ancient church and a pub and restaurant designed by Lutyen. A real gem. •  Living Coasts (1 Mile) - Living Coasts is a unique marine and bird visitor attraction situated near the harbour overlooking the sea. •  Kent's Cavern (2 Miles) - Visit these famous prehistoric caves with stalagmites, stalagtites and fossils. Guided tours are on hand to give you a fascinating insight and take you on a historical journey through the ages. Late notification will mean that you are still liable for the total cost of your initial reservation. Please note that weekends, bank holidays and trade fairs are subject to minimum night stay requirements and therefore part cancellation cannot take the number of nights to below this minimum requirement under any circumstances. Please also read the cancellation policy section. Other information: Please note that Soutbourne Villa does not offer accommodation to those under the age of 18, nor does it accommodate pets, wedding groups, stag/hen parties, multiple room and group bookings. We regard a group booking to be in excess of 2 people. If bookings of this nature are made in an underhand manner, the booking will be cancelled without refund.
