From the A6, Buxton: - Proceed along the A6 towards Stockport. - Go through Hazel Grove and when you reach the traffic lights by the George & Dragon public house, carry on to the next set of lights. - Bear right into Dialstone Lane. - Follow the road for 2.4 km (1.5 miles), then through another set of lights and you will see the hotel on your right. By Rail: The nearest station is Stockport town centre, a 25-minute walk or short taxi ride. From the station, turn left and proceed to the A6 Wellington Road. Turn right and proceed up the A6 for 1.6 km (one mile) to the Bamford Arms Travel Inn. Turn left and proceed to the 1st set of traffic lights. Turn left again into Dialstone Lane and the hotel is situated 45 metres (50 yards) down on the right.
